Voices From the Desert Vol. 1, n.° 2
The acrostics you are about to read in this journal inspired the EFL teachers’ creative writing and evolved around the theme “Tacna a beautiful and clean city full of diversity”. The thematic here intends to provoke positive feelings among teachers in times of COVID-19 pandemic. Can spring defeat the blues that the pandemic brought upon us? Some of the poems we find in this journal allows us to feel that it is possible through imagination with a deeply rooted local sense. Spring imposes itself through the pandemic bringing a renewed sense of life and showing that as seeds break the ground after the cold winter and flowers blossom when the time comes, we, as people, as society, can also impose ourselves through dicult times and bloom like flowers in spring.
